The Broadalbin-Perth music department will host “A Prism for Portia” concert starting at 6:30 p.m. Tuesday, March 7, at the Robert C. Munn Gymnasium at B-P Jr./Sr. High School. The concert will feature all of the district’s band and chorus ensembles, with students in grades 5-12 performing. The theme of the concert is “Broadway,” and audience members will enjoy music from “Grease,” “Mamma Mia,” “Annie,” “Aladdin,” “Hamilton,” “High School Musical,” and more.
Concert-goers will also have the opportunity to play online trivia between performances using their cell phones for an additional fee.
Although there is no admission fee for the concert, the music department will be collecting donations at the door. All donations and trivia fees will be donated to the family of Portia Robles, a Broadalbin-Perth second grader who is currently undergoing treatment for leukemia at Albany Medical Center.
