Broadalbin-Perth Elementary School will resume in-person learning for all students in pre-K through grade 4 on Tuesday, Oct. 20. Students in grades 5-6 will continue their hybrid schedule, with fifth graders reporting for in-person learning on Tuesday.
The school is reopening after the district received confirmation of negative COVID-19 test results for two individuals who were “presumed positive” under Department of Health guidance on Oct. 15. According to DOH, all individuals who were directed to quarantine in relation to this situation are being released from quarantine and may resume their typical daily activities. This means that the BPES employees who were affected by the quarantine may return to work, and the school can operate safely with its full staff.
